This experience makes a wonderful gift. The recipient will be guided through an official olive oil tasting and a deep dive into the world of olive oil. You’ll walk away knowing how to effectively choose a quality olive oil and be confident in your purchasing decisions.
From sharing fun unique ways to incorporate this historic, healthy and delicious ingredient in everyday life, to exploring olive varieties, growing regions, modern and traditional milling methods, and you will learn how everything affects the taste of your olive oil.
The class also includes your choice of recipe books written by Emily: Spain, Syria, Italy, or Greece.
Emily Lycopolus, an Olive Oil Sommelier, will spend 90 minutes describing the oils as you taste them, tell you their character and story, and make recipe suggestions. In our 90 minutes together, there will also be lots of time for Q&A.
Olive Oil Sommelier, educator, and author of 8 cookbooks, Emily Lycopolus is the Olive Oil Critic.
There are four sessions available, Friday January 31st through Sunday February 2nd.
