Description
Typical of southern France and name for the Nice area is the legendary “Nicoise Olives”. The Nicoise Olive are small in size, yet has flavour characteristics bold enough to stand up to Parmigiano-Reggiano and aged blue cheeses. They are precious, tiny but delicious little treasures will sweep you away from the ordinary bowl of olives. The Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur is home to the low-yielding Nicoise olive tree. It is an area widely known for its olives and lavender. Nicoise Black Olives are petite and rich in flavour that is described as nutty and sweet. This import from France is a fine complement to cheese, bread and wine.It is a petite olive with a large pit and yet, its flavour is so highly prized by those living in the region that only a limited amount is available for export.
